Cam and I have been chatting about launching this blog for quite some time now, so I am excited to say that today is the day! We love the idea of saving our reno and DIY adventures somewhere so that we can look back upon our journey at the end of each project - and why not share our ideas, creativity, and tips with the world? We hope that some of our projects will give inspiration to some DIY'ers out there or at least provide an example of what you should not attempt at home ;)
DIY projects have always been a passion of mine. I have been addicted to HGTV since I was a teen. After an especially inspiring HGTV marathon, I would beg my parents to let me paint rooms in the house, which I imagine provided them with a good laugh as they wondered how they got so lucky to have such motivated free labour.
Ten days after finishing high school, my car was driving down the driveway in the direction of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where I had enrolled to take an Interior Decorating Diploma. This course fueled my love for home design. While I was in school, I worked for Benjamin Moore and after my course was finished, I worked in a furniture building store as a decorator for a few years while I completed my Commerce Degree.
I am now married to my best friend and soul mate, who lucky for me, shares a passion for DIY projects and happens to be an extremely talented handyman. Together, we're buying our first house and attempting to flip it. Whaaaaaaat. Wish us luck!
